Past Present and Tortusa are trying to capture the vibe of the acoustic instruments, add Tortusa´s voice, and together make a unique sound with a strong identity. Their first album «Eternal Return» on Jazzland Recordings tries to reflect on natures many cycles through time.
The music is often focused towards the timbral and minimalistic aspects of musical structure. Other times there is room for more melodic and rhythmic improvisations. This collaboration blends jazz, contemporary and electronic music
together in a way that resembles nature in it’s most beautiful and catastrophic ways.

Reviews:
“Black Mist” is subdued and contemplative, full of dark alleys and winding back roads that introduce new tonal passageways or instrumental lines" - Ryan Hall / Tome to the Weather Machine:
"...this trio of players wields their respective instruments towards the horizon, drawing pictures, albeit blurry and sleepy, into the clouds. Their three pieces included are timeless ambient works of fermented coziness, defying the typical jazz set with elongated drones and lost consciousness." TJ Norris / Toneshift
"Eternal Return kombinerer nyrydning med nyskapning. Det er et helstøpt og overbevisende album." Arild R. Andersen / Jazz i Norge
